Today the clouds are still ladden with water even after the heavy rain. We did have some sun this week and last night I got to see the light on Ponderosa bark in the early evening.
Some days the autumn light defines all the edges and sometimes there is a softened warmth blurring transitions―both qualities of light are influenced by the cycle of brilliant decay and snow in the mountains. Reflections of the yellow gold Rocky Mountian Maple leaves moved by water caught my eye as I was walking along the ditch.
The guest dog Jordie collects leaves and bits in her coat on our walks. I also collect as I go―a collection of the changing light.
