Walking with My Camera: October Leaves in Big Knife Creek

I have been called by fall leaves, water and light for several years now. There is something about the interplay of elements that draws me, at this time of year, to return to a favorite place where leaves gather in a small creek near where I live. I thought I would have more opportunities to photograph this year’s offerings but I had just one short session in mid October to capture some of the leaf, sunlight and water movement intermingling before the cold took the colors away.

Intermingled

Comingled

Fortunate to be in the mix

This color

This layered life

So freely shared

What can I give in return?

What gratitude?

What honoring?

May I bring

to each day

a greeting

“I see you”
